Congratulations guys!!!
8-2-08 Congratulations to Millville BJJ for placing 5th in the Gi division at NAGA battle at the beach.
We are very proud of all of our competitors and the only teams placing ahead of us in the standings were those with multiple affiliates that add into the combined score. So it's quite a testiment to the hard work from our little school here in Millville!!!
4-5-08 Congratulations to the Millville BJJ team for placing 4th at the NAGA World Championships!
On April 5th and 6th, Millville BJJ competed at the NAGA World Championships. We took a small team of only 11 competitors and walked away with
12 medals. It is an amazing accomplishment for a school that is only a year old with no affiliates. All of our competitors fought their hearts out win or lose
and we are so very proud of them. We were beaten in the team standings by much larger teams with multiple affiliate schools.
Following are the competitors who placed:
Dain Dixon (15 years old)- 3rd place Adult white belt

October 6th:
Millville BJJ took 7 grapplers to The Grappler's Quest North American Championship in Jersey City New Jersey. We came away with 5 first place medals and one second place medal. Individual results:
Connor Dixon- 1st place
Dain Dixon-1st place Teens Advanced Division-Won championship belt
Tim Williams-tore through his divisions as usual winning both his intermediate division and the BJJ Blue Belt division. Tim had a total of seven matches, submitting every one of his opponents. Tim even had a submission victory in 7 seconds (and I think it took them a few seconds to hit the button). Tim is progressing under our system very well. There are great things in his future.
Dan Dixon stepped up to compete in the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Brown Belt level. In his first match he faced off against an excellent grappler named Dan Simmler (see SimmlerBJJ.com) Dan managed to go the 9 minute distance with the multiple time PanAm medalist but was beaten on points. In Dan's second match he faced off against Matt Serra Brown Belt, Nick Safar. Dan said Nick felt like locking up with a stone statue, Nick was so strong. The match was a slow paced match with Dan maintaining side control much of the match. Dan finally submitted Nick with his signature Kesa Gatame compression lock.
Carlos Perez lost his first match in a closely fought decision that went into overtime. The score was 2-0. Carlos is a NAGA champion and I see great things in his future.
David Tunstall-this was David's first competition. He had 67 men competing in his division. David lost a very close match 6-5 by points. David got the crowd cheering with an incredible Drop Seio Nage that sent his opponent crshing to the mat. David is on the way to being another Millville BJJ champion.
September 29th:
Tim Williams wins "Cage of Vengeance" Heavyweight title. On September 29th Tim Williams defeated a tough opponent to gain the Heavyweight title. Just 1:32 into the first round Tim secured a tight armbar, forcing his opponent to tap out. Congratulation to Tim who has worked hard for a solid 18 months to accomplish this goal.
